Based in Rennes, the Norac Group is composed of 13 subsidiaries including Daunat, Le Ster and La Boulangère. Its bakery, snacking and delicatessen products are distributed in France and internationally.

Initially a partner of Le Ster for 30 years, the whole group put their trust in us for the management of the company’s IT management.

GROUP NORAC’S ERP PROJECT

In 2004, the Norac group chose the Microsoft Dynamics NAV (ex navision) solution from among a dozen contenders, which has allowed them to make information reliable and securitized.
Our knowledge of the food industry sector and the challenges faced with distribution circuits enabled us to accompany the project’s management.

From finance to purchasing, and with inventory, sales administration and logistics, 250 employees today use the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Food Industry ERP by isatech.

The implementation was a success in terms of holding the deadlines and in terms of change management.

In parallel, the group was equipped with new servers to increase security.

Thanks to this ERP, the group has optimized its management processes and today is reaping the fruits as they can:

  • Anticipate production more easily. The system gives availability and reactivity to supply chilled goods with short shelf lives. The group uses just-in-time logistics. Dispatch can sometimes be done just an hour after receiving the order, and this for a product that requires a production time of 6 hours.
  • Manage orders automatically with EDI. The ERP also allows to record, check and validate the other orders simply. The interface which was developed is intuitive and ergonomic, saving time for data input.
  • Produce consolidated coherent reports from a single tool, despite the independence of the subsidiaries and their differences. The solution is adapted to multi-company utilization. The parameterization takes each subsidiary’s working practices into account.
  • Improve stock management, traceability and logistics. After the transport slips are issued, the orders are monitored, validated and sent out thanks to a bar code.
